Types of Compensation Claims

Compensation claims are defined as any insurance claim that request compensation for the financial, emotional, or physical hardship of a victim. As such, there are many different types of compensation claims that are frequently filed by professional accident solicitors, including work accidents, road traffic accidents, slip and fall injuries, sports injuries, product liability lawsuits, and general injury compensation.

Work accidents that result in compensation claims typically involve an employee being injured due to the negligence or mismanagement of their employer. Most companies have Workmen’s Compensation for such incidents; however, this is not enough to provide full compensation for some cases that deserve more scrutiny in court with the assistance of a professional accident solicitor. Slip and fall injuries are similar to workplace injuries, in that they’re usually the result of an employees or employers negligence, or failure to maintain their workplace. However, slip and fall accidents can occur anywhere at any time, and the liable party is not limited to an employee or employee.

Sports injuries that result in compensation claims typically involve an athlete being injured due to the negligence of a personal trainer, coach, or other team staff that fails to fulfill their duties regarding cleanliness, safety, and general practices. An example of an eligible sports injury that could result in a compensation claim would be a ski resort providing dysfunctional rental skis that caused a serious skiing accident. Product liability lawsuits follow the same general concept outlined above; however, the claims are usually aimed at the manufacture or supplier of the product, rather than the owner or employee of a particular store.
